It is evident that the campaign for special rights for sodomites is not a question confined specifically to the legitimacy and rights of a minority, but rather the question encompasses the effects of such behavior on the American public. The assertion that acts of sodomy are purely a private matter is soundly refuted by medical facts. Any public interest in protecting the right to privacy is outweighed by the consequences of such behavior on society. As the sodomite faction demands special rights with increasing boldness, it is vital that we defend the integrity and intent of our Constitution.
